    GOM Media Player supports three display modes:

    • Normal Mode - for computers with conventional configuration (this mode is recommended to use as a default);
    • High-Quality Mode – used to display high-quality video;
    • TV Output Mode - configuration for TV output.

    An interesting feature of the player is the ability to adapt to the system resources of a PC. A user can specify the priority of the use of system resources when playing video in GOM Media Player. This is useful when playing videos in high quality.

    The video player contains built-in codecs that allow to decode and to play most video and audio files. If necessary, a user can specify to use an external video (MS-MPEG4, DIVX, XVID) and audio codecs.

    GOM Media Player includes support for all known audio / video formats (AVI, DIVX, OGM, MKV, IFO, ASF, WMA, MP4 and others). Besides media formats, the player allows to view images and photos.

    During the initial run, a user can specify which formats should be opened only by using GOM player.

    The player allows to play DVD disks, and provides a user with basic settings when playing a DVD video (language settings, DVD starting point).

    The media player adapts to any audio system that allows to use different audio channels (2, 4, 5.1 and S / PDIF) when playing audio. If a video file contains multiple audio tracks, a user can select one of them.

    GOM Media Player has a very flexible configurations, and allows to add audio and video effects, to enable and to disable filters, change the video settings (video size, gamma, brightness, video output), as well as to customize the display, size and position of the subtitles.
